Donna Schneiderman

Heartful Lace Print Collection

We often find ourselves drawn to things we have previously owned, touched or experienced. Perhaps it’s a favorite dress you wore as a child or the glass perfume bottle that held the scent your mother wore all her life. Maybe it’s something more ephemeral like that feeling you had after a party long since over or the memory of laughing over a meal with your best friends at that place on 1st and A. These bespoke moments are the invisible wings that help you fly. This collection of prints entitled Heartful Lace evokes childhood memories and whimsy. Using vintage lace as inspiration, my motifs depict birds, filigree scrollwork, perfume bottles, stars, and hearts. I sought to connect the viewer to the “things” that make life a delicate balance of emotion and beauty.
