FibreCutTex

The upcycled fabric FibreCutTex is part of the fashion collection “Fashion For Fools”. The work with a provocative title criticizes the current fashion industry and questions conventional consumer behavior. Fashion has to be more than just an aesthetic product, todays fashion is all about sustainability. The fabric FibreCutTex is a non-woven, recyclable material made of yarn leftovers from the weaving industry. It is produced by combining cotton yarn and starch-based bioplastics. During the manufacturing process the textile can be shaped in any form, when dried it stays flexible. The yarn is predyed with natural colors, like red cabbage, caffee or nettle. The textile FibreCutTex is a biodegradable product.
